Hydroxytyrosol is a polyphenol that can be found in extra virgin olive oil (EVO) but is not present in other oils, since it is removed during the refining process. A Granatum Plus olive extract capsule with a high hydroxytyrosol content has 2 calories and all of the hydroxytyrosol contained in 3 litres of extra virgin olive oil. Each capsule also contains other polyphenols, including Tyrosol.
Granatum Plus olive extract is produced from fresh, recently harvested olives cultivated in Spain. We employ an innovative, 100% Spanish patented system that uses only highly purified water in the extraction process, thus resulting in a product that is entirely free from chemical solvents.
